Extreme suspension for extreme motorcycles

When öhlins manufactures shock absorbers for hypersport motorcycles, there are primarily three factors we work with:

Performance, performance and finally performance.

Hypersport bikes are extreme machines that require extreme shock absorbers. These motorcycles are manufactured so that they can be ridden both in normal traffic and on the track. But it is track riding that sets the standard.

We have cutting-edge technology that leaves no room for compromises. Using our many years of experience as a foundation, we develop these shocks a stage further every year. There is always something to be improved in each component, every detail and all types of material.

It goes without saying that we base the design of each shock on the individual motorcycle model for which it is developed. But the “feel” is something we get from the race track. We test almost 100% of our shocks on the race track. We are also involved with leading racing teams where our technicians are faced with problems they have to solve under tough racing conditions. Solutions that later end up in your shock.

Öhlins shocks for hypersport are at an extremely high technological and functional level where we have included everything we can think of that you might benefit from. This involves, among other things, every imaginable option for external adjustment.

Hyper Sport Front Forks

FGR 800 Superbike Front Fork

The FGR 800 is the very essence of front fork technology and is based on last year’s successful predecessor FGR 700. This pressurized front fork, equipped with TTX technology is the very latest in front fork technology.
The new, improved FGR 800 comes fully packed with technical solutions and experiences gained from MotoGP, WSB and AMA racing.

Features:
-          New fork bottoms and inner legs for improved rigidity
-          New valve specification with better dynamic behaviour for faster damping response, resulting in improved feedback of the tire-contact feeling.
-          New bushings with new material and less play and less friction for smoother action.
-          New volume spacer for less fluid in the fork to reduce flex in the fluid for improved damping response
-          Improved internal seals and surfaces for simplified maintenance, less friction and an improved wear resistance
-          New reservoir and end-cap design


 

FG R&T Front Fork

R&T (Road & Track) front forks is a new born classic, delivering remarkably high and versatile levels of performance. Stabile damping charactistics and fantastic comfort levels. The new Cartridge System inside the front fork is based on the popular FGK kits while the outer design has been revamped to make it even more aesthetically pleasing.

Front Fork Cartridge Kit

Öhlins now offers a complete cartridge kit for standard Front Forks. These kits are based on the experience gained from World Super Sport and Super Stock Championships and fi ts bolt-on the standard front fork

• Externally adjustable compression & rebound damping
• External spring pre-load adjuster
• Easy to change setting
• Setting parts available
• Optional main springs available from 8,0 N/mm to 10,5 N/mm, delivered with 9,0N/mm springs.


 

Radial Caliper Mount Kit for R&T Front Forks

Öhlins has made a radial caliper mount kit for the R&T forks. This kit will fit all Öhlins after market R&T front forks. The kit includes all necessary parts except wheel sleeves, spacers and fender mounts.

Wheel sleeves, spacers and fender mounts will not be supplied and has to be manufactured separate by the Öhlins service centre.

This Kit has to be fitted by an authorized Öhlins service centre, since you will need special tools and good knowledge of the R&T front fork.


 

Front Fork Springs

• Designed to improve the performance of your standard fork.
• Give the right balance between your front fork and your Öhlins shock absorber.
• Tests show that for R/T approximately 10% harder than std springs normally work best, but for some models the springs are softer.
• For racing application various spring rates are available.

• Adds the final touch to your suspension tuning.

Hyper Sport Steering Dampers

R&T Steering Damper

• Oil under pressure avoids the problem of free play.
• Adjustable in 20 clicks.
• Six lengths/strokes.
• Can be mounted outside or inside of the fork leg and across the frame behind the triple clamp.
 

Rotary Steering Damper

• Damping both ways.

R&T Steering Damper Kit

Steering Damper Piston Reservoir Kit

This kit is being used by all racing teams in Moto GP and WSB. The kit will be a big improvement if the steering damper is used in very warm or hot conditions.
